Sarah and Rob had the most amazing wedding at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham. I've always been a bit of a country bumpkin myself, so the prospect of working in the centre of a major city was a little daunting at first look. No sweeping vistas, no flowerbeds and lots of concrete where normally there would be grass or trees. On the plus side, having visited the venue with the bride and groom a few months before the wedding, I realised what a treat I was in for. The inside (and outside) of the Grand really do live up to the name, and on top of that, the couple had decided that they were going to walk the mile to their reception through the centre of town. Back in 2016 I'd photographed a wedding in Worcester town centre, and the bride and groom then had decided too, to walk through the centre of town to their reception venue. The photos were absolutely amazing, and I still remember those photos fondly, 9 years later. Walking Sarah and Rob through Birmingham City Centre, was the same, only bigger and better (and much more sweaty for me as a mile is a long way to run!)
