The Firs Hanbury - and their very first wedding

I'm better at photography than I am at English - I have no idea where to put the apostrophe here. The Firs' Hanbury first wedding? The Firs Hanbury's first wedding? urg.

Either way. The Firs (a wedding venue in Hanbury) was about to host their first wedding and I had been booked by the couple to photograph it. (I knew I'd work it out in the end.) Holly (pictured looking like a professional model in the image above) was getting married to Jamie (pictured below) at Hanbury Church before hosting their reception at the Firs. They made their wedding entirely 'them' - both huge fans of Country music, the dress code for the wedding was jeans, boots and a stetson, and the music at their reception was provided live by country singer Adam Harding (whose wedding I'm photographing next month!)

Jamie and Holly really wanted a fun, relaxed and festival feel to their wedding, which they really achieved well. I know the image above looks like the wedding was complete anarchy, but it was honestly just one of the best days.

Ahh yes onto this incredible golden light. Right next to the venue is an area of woodland. It was getting towards sunset and we could see this amazing light coming in through the trees, so decided to take a wonder to see what possibilities waited for us. I was looking for a good location for some photos of the bride and groom and noticed Holly standing in the most perfect spot, with this godly beam of golden light coming from behind her. She struck a few amazing poses, completed naturally, and well, I took the photos you see here. If only all epic photos came so naturally.
