Deer Park is a countryside wedding venue in the Worcestershire countryside, just outside of Eckington.
One of my favourite things about Deer Park as a wedding venue is the setting, and more specifically the view over towards the Malvern Hills on the horizon. For most times of the year, the sun sets behind the hills and you always get the most amazing sunsets here. The look of the sunset of course varies from month to month, day to day, but usually you get something you can work wonders with!
The hill where I usually take the bride and groom in order to take photos is usually frequented by the deer that roam there - from which the venue takes it's name. For Helen and Dan's wedding, the deer had been heard indoors as the couple were planning on a fireworks celebration at the end of the day - and of course deer and fireworks don't mix!
We had already taken some spectacular wedding photos at Deer Park Hall up on this hill, and as we were walking back into the venue I decided that we'd use the opportunity for a few extra photos. There's a wall that runs along the one side of the venue. It's not that tall at maybe 12-inches, but it's just high enough that you can get a little lower than usual, and can shoot against the setting sun.
