I really like this kind of photo, with the bride arriving at church in a wedding car, peeking through the window and getting a glimpse of the last few guests being ushered inside. It's one that sadly I don't get as much opportunity to do anymore; perhaps that why I like them when I do manage. The vast majority of weddings now are civil ceremonies, and the vast majority of those are in locations that have accommodation, or at least some space for the bride to get ready on-site. That means no church, and no wedding car. For those that do still choose to say their vows in church, it has to be dry enough to have the car window down, with enough time to spare that the vicar isn't staring at me in such a way I can feel my one-way ticket to eternal damnation inching closer to me, and the bride has to not be a big ball of nerves. So yeah, when I do get this shot, I really appreciate the stars having aligned.
