Heather and Craig got married late in the year at Stanbrook Abbey in Worcestershire.
I think they actually picked the perfect time of year to get married as we had the right combination of a bright, sunny day but a short day at the same time. This meant we could take stunning weddings pictures from the wedding right through to the evening without the day being overly long. Stanbrook Abbey has some fantastic locations for after-dark photos but at a July wedding for example, you have to wait until 10:30pm before it's dark enough to take them. I regularly start work at weddings at 8am so that would mean at least a 15 hour day, at which point the last thing the bride and groom want is to be walked around a large venue for pictures!
Needless to say, Heather and Craig were absolute stars and even though Heather's feet were quite sore at the end of the day, we managed to get some perfect wedding photos.
The image you can see above almost couldn't be any more simple to construct, and was taken using a normal light that's in the car park. I've always said that a good photographer can produce a stunning photo anywhere, and I hope this image in some way goes to proving that!
Of course more tradition locations are available at Stanbrook Abbey for wedding photography! This one is taken by the old front entrance, before it got moved to the opposite side of the building.
