Wedding Sparklers at Bredenbury Court

'The bride and groom share a kiss at the end of their wedding whilst their guests shower them with molten metal' was what I was going to title this image. I don't know quite where the idea of this type of photo came from or when it started, but it feels like a fairly recent thing. I'll be honest - I do love these photos when they work, but when a client says 'we'd love to have a sparkler photo with all of our guests at the end of the night' what I hear is 'Lee, can you get 60 people who have been drinking for 10 straight hours outside in two straight-ish lines whilst holding sticks made of gunpowder and magnesium over my wedding dress and hair that contains several entire cans of hairspray.' What's funny is at the end of the day, the couple receive a lovely photo that they'll cherish forever. Everyone looking at these photos is going 'aww amazing how lovely!' - I only wish you could see the sheer chaos that they are to organise. It's absolutely the most fun, and if I'm still alive having taken the image, I get to go home after. Still, I've only set one bride on fire. Two brides.
